Balade Restaurant, an established and busy Lebanese restaurant in the East Village, is seeking a strong Lead Line Cook with expediting experience to help run daily service.
This position is for a serious cook who can lead the line, control tickets, and maintain speed and quality during busy services.
We are looking for someone who can step into a leadership role and take ownership of the kitchen during service.

Responsibilities

Lead the kitchen line during lunch and dinner service

Work as Expo (Expeditor) controlling ticket flow

Ensure all dishes leave the kitchen correctly and on time

Communicate clearly with FOH and kitchen team

Maintain speed and organization during busy service

Train and support line cooks

Maintain high food quality and consistency

Assist with prep and station organization

Help maintain a clean and professional kitchen
Requirements

4+ years line cook experience

Expediting experience REQUIRED

Experience in busy NYC restaurants preferred
