Job Details

Balade Restaurant, an established and busy Lebanese restaurant in the East Village, is seeking a strong Lead Line Cook with expediting experience to help run daily service.

This position is for a serious cook who can lead the line, control tickets, and maintain speed and quality during busy services.

We are looking for someone who can step into a leadership role and take ownership of the kitchen during service.

Balade Restaurant
208 1st Avenue, New York

Position: Full-Time

Responsibilities
  • Lead the kitchen line during lunch and dinner service

  • Work as Expo (Expeditor) controlling ticket flow

  • Ensure all dishes leave the kitchen correctly and on time

  • Communicate clearly with FOH and kitchen team

  • Maintain speed and organization during busy service

  • Train and support line cooks

  • Maintain high food quality and consistency

  • Assist with prep and station organization

  • Help maintain a clean and professional kitchen

Requirements
  • 4+ years line cook experience

  • Expediting experience REQUIRED

  • Experience in busy NYC restaurants preferred

  • Ability to run a fast-paced service

  • Strong communication skills

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Professional attitude

  • Ability to multitask under pressure
