Support Staff

 Proposed schedule:

Friday–Sunday | 8:00am–1:00pm (4.5 hours/day)

Total: 13.5 hours/week

Second Daughter is looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking Café Support team member to help keep our guest seating area clean, organized, and welcoming during our busiest hours. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, keeping things tidy, and supporting a small team in a fast-paced bakery environment.

This position is focused on dine-in support, including clearing tables, resetting seating, assisting the front-of-house team, and helping maintain a clean and smooth customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep café seating area clean, tidy, and guest-ready throughout the shift

• Clear tables promptly (dishes, cups, crumbs, trash) and reset tables for the next guest

• Sweep spot-clean as needed (floors, chairs, high-traffic areas)

• Monitor the dish drop area and bring dishes to the dish station as needed

• Assist with stocking and restocking front-of-house supplies (napkins, cups, lids, utensils, bags, etc.)

• Help keep pastry case / display area neat and presentable (as directed)

• Support the team  with small tasks during rushes

• Assist with receiving deliveries or putting away light items when needed

• Complete side work before the end of shift (trash, wipe-downs, reset for the next day)

• Complete requests for assistance from leadership as needed to keep the bakery running smoothly

• Ability to work during peak bakery hours (mornings + weekends are a plus)

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand and move around for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry items up to 30–50 lbs occasionally (chairs, bus tubs, deliveries, etc.)

• Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly during busy service

• May include walking in/out of seating areas frequently and handling light cleaning tasks
