Muff is a new breakfast concept obsessed with one thing: the perfect English muffin sandwich. We're launching at Denver farmers markets in 2026 — Pearl Street, Louisville, and Central Park — with plans to open the first brick and mortar in 2027. The vision is to reimagine breakfast and build the next great fast-casual brand. 

We're looking for a Head of Kitchen to help build this from the ground up.

This is a ground level role with real equity in a business we intend to scale to multiple locations, retail, and beyond. If you want to clock in and clock out, this isn't for you. If you want to own a piece of something and help build it from a farmers market tent to a multi-million dollar brand — we’d love to talk.

What you'll actually be doing:

You’ll partner with the founder to solidify the menu, preparation systems, on-site cooking processes and the operational playbook that lets us execute flawlessly every single weekend. The idea with launching at farmer’s markets is to get close to our customers, get real time feedback, test different sandwich / english muffin combinations and hone the menu. We'll likely add and / or subtract menu items on a weekly basis — and your palate, instincts, and ideas will shape what Muff becomes. As we grow, you'll help hire and lead the kitchen team.

Time commitment:

Friday is prep day (roughly estimated at 6 hours). Saturday and Sunday you’ll own on-site cooking execution (7:00am–2pm) while the founder runs the register and customer interaction.  Markets run May through November. This is a small team; 100% reliability and excellent communication is a necessary requirement.

You're the right person if:

  • You're obsessed with breakfast and sandwiches. 
  • You have a process-oriented brain — you don't just cook, you build systems. 
  • You're reliable to a fault; this is a small team and every person is load-bearing. 
  • You communicate clearly, lead naturally, and operate well within a team environment. 
  • You're excited by the chaos of early-stage company building and energized by the idea that the farmers market is just the beginning.
  • You approach everything with a positive attitude and a desire to have fun (building a company should be FUN!... otherwise why do it?).
  • You’re calm, cool and collected under the pressure of a long list of order tickets piling up
  • Bakery, sandwich, or breakfast background is a plus.
