Job Responsibilities

• Prepare kiddush lunch weekly for groups of varying sizes, from 70 to 200. 
• This would include development of menus, shopping, and food preparation at an approximate cost of $15 per guest.
• Comfort in crafting all aspects of the meal, including salads, hot entrees, and desserts.
• Development of menus, shopping, and food preparation for occasional holiday meals.
• Ensure that the kitchen is kept organized and clean. Notify staff of any issues. 
• Complete an inventory each week to make sure supplies are adequately stocked. 
• Be present one or more Saturdays a month, and on infrequent but occasional evenings. 
• Administrative skills required, including calendar management and tracking costs and supplies, and periodic communication with families that sponsor meals. 

Job Qualifications 

• Ability to craft and curate unique menus that align with cost targets 
• Ability to effectively manage time to make sure target hours goals are met 
• Willingness to learn and work within rules of Kashrut and Shabbat 
• Must be food service compliant: ServSafe Certified
