Role Overview

As Sous Chef, you’ll be an essential kitchen leader, working closely with the Executive Chef to maintain Bar Bianchi’s culinary standards. You’ll ensure consistent execution of menu items, support daily operations, and mentor a team that thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

What You’ll Do

Kitchen Leadership & Execution

  • Assist in managing daily kitchen operations from prep through service.

  • Execute high-quality dishes consistently, with attention to tradition and seasonal creativity.

  • Maintain rigorous standards of food quality, portion size, and presentation.

Team Development & Communication

  • Train, coach, and mentor kitchen staff with a focus on growth, teamwork, and professionalism.

  • Support clear communication between kitchen and front of house for smooth service flow.

Quality & Safety

  • Uphold strict health, sanitation, and safety standards in compliance with all regulations.

  • Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and manage food cost controls.

You’re steady under pressure, and passionate about seasonal Italian cuisine. You love the energy of a dining room that buzzes from aperitivo through late night, and you’re ready to be a core part of a team that values growth, hospitality, and craft.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 3+ years of culinary experience in professional kitchens, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Strong command of Italian culinary techniques, pasta, and antipasti traditions.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, richly textured hospitality environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and team-focused leadership mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with house made pastas and regional Italian cooking.

  • Passion for mentorship and developing talent.
