General Manager – Restaurant & Café
We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead the opening and ongoing operations of a newly established restaurant concept. You will be overseeing two distinct but connected spaces: a high-energy, full-service restaurant and a smaller adjoining café. From pre-opening strategy through launch and long-term growth, you will shape the systems, standards, team, and culture that define the guest experience.
The General Manager will play a critical role in the launch of the business—building the front-of-house team from the ground up, establishing service systems, shaping culture, and ensuring operational excellence from day one. Following opening, this leader will maintain full accountability for performance across both spaces, driving guest experience, team development, and financial success.
This position requires a hands-on operator with multi-unit or multi-concept leadership experience, strong bar and service knowledge, and the ability to scale teams while maintaining brand integrity. This is not a maintenance role - it is a creation role. You will set the tone. You will build the team. You will bring the vision to life.
Key Responsibilities
Restaurant Launch & Development
• Lead all operational planning and execution for the restaurant and café launch
• Build and structure the entire FOH team, including hiring, onboarding, training, and leadership development
• Develop service standards, operating procedures, and workflows for both spaces
• Establish staffing models and schedules aligned with projected business levels
• Partner with ownership and leadership to define culture, guest experience standards, and performance expectations
Dual-Space Operational Leadership
• Oversee day-to-day operations of both the full-service restaurant and adjoining café
• Ensure seamless coordination between front and back of house
• Maintain consistent brand standards across two distinct service environments
• Participate in five weekly services, with one shorter service dedicated to administrative oversight
• Monitor operational flow, floor leadership, and service execution during all shifts
Team Leadership & Culture
• Recruit, mentor, and develop floor and bar leadership teams
• Build a strong service culture rooted in accountability, hospitality, and professionalism
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance management
• Create clear growth paths and succession planning for FOH team members
• Foster morale, engagement, and high performance across both locations
Bar & Service Excellence
• Provide hands-on leadership of the bar program, ensuring quality, consistency, and execution
• Oversee bar training, scheduling, and standards
• Uphold elevated hospitality across every guest touchpoint
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
Financial & Administrative Oversight
• Own P&L performance for both restaurant and café operations
• Manage revenue targets, labor budgets, cost of goods, and operating expenses
• Conduct sales forecasting and performance tracking
• Review monthly financial statements and proactively address variances
• Balance service excellence with fiscal responsibility
• Maintain required daily and weekly reporting
Events & Revenue Growth
• Lead the full events program in partnership with a consulting Events Director
• Respond to event inquiries within 24 business hours
• Manage event systems and platforms, including TripleSeat
• Oversee contracting, client communication, and event execution
• Ensure accurate POS integration and clear internal communication via BEOs
• Coordinate buyouts and large-party logistics across departments
• Support revenue growth through local partnerships, marketing initiatives, networking, and team-driven sales strategies
