Kuma Hospitality (l’abeille, l’abeille à côté, Muku) is seeking a warm, polished, and service-driven Floor Manager to lead guest relations and dining room operations. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in high-touch service, leads by example on the floor, and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities may include:- Uphold Michelin-level service standards, appearance, and professionalism - for dining room staff as well as general restaurant appearance and hygiene
- Lead and manage the host team at two host stands on premise while actively participating in service
- Oversee the full guest journey: reservations, greeting, seating, VIP accommodations, and departure
- Maintain seamless dining room flow in coordination with BOH and FOH leadership, with focus on service protocols, guidance for dining room staff, and training / reinforcement of existing SOP
- Prepare the dining room for service by publishing daily floor plans, menu printing, pre-shift notes, and end of day report + tip-sheet (if closing)
- Anticipate guest needs and cultivate meaningful guest relationships, act as a “familiar face” to repeat guests
- Address and resolve guest concerns with care and discretion, in collaboration with other FOH Leadership and Ownership
- Ensure all policies and procedures are consistently followed and improve policies and procedures, where appropriate
- Support team development, engagement, and operational efficiency
- Other FOH Leadership responsibilities may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- 2+ years fine dining experience (NYC preferred)
- 2+ years management experience, experience working in other FOH positions will be a strong asset
- Strong leadership presence and guest-facing confidence
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Calm, solution-oriented mindset in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Toast POS, Resy, OpenTable
- Fluent in English, additional language skills a plus

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $85,000.00)
