Sailor is a highly regarded neighborhood bistro in Fort Greene, helmed by Chef April Bloomfield and Gabriel Stulman’s Happy Cooking Hospitality. We enjoy working with humans who are warm, welcoming and empathetic, detail-oriented, open to feedback, and enthusiastic about being part of a team that prioritizes quality service and mindful hospitality. 

Kitchen Servers at Sailor play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of the entire service by providing support to Captains and Bartenders alike. K.S.’s are responsible for polishing glassware, juicing, stocking, refilling water bottles, and resetting tables.  Primarily, they are charged with keeping stations stocked with glassware, plates, and utensils, and helping to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. Our best match is a person who has a keen eye for detail, can read a table, loves the hustle, and is a confident communicator. Kitchen Servers must be able to memorize and discuss our food menu, and are expected to participate fully in our food, wine, and service education programs. For those so inclined, it’s a great position from which to grow.
