Coda Di Volpe is seeking an energetic, hospitality focused Takeout Specialist to join our team.

Concept Overview: Southern Italian cuisine coupled with neighborhood charm can be found at Coda di Volpe. The menu focuses on the lesser-explored regions of Southern Italy and consists of seasonally-evolving handmade pasta dishes and house-cured meats. Using a Stefano Ferrara wood-fire oven, Coda di Volpe crafts traditional VPN-certified Neapolitan pizzas served with authentic pizza shears.

Job Summary:

Takeout Specialists are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner and ensuring guests get their orders without delay. As a direct link between the guest and the restaurant a Takeout Specialist plays the leading role in developing positive, lasting guest relationships by consistently delivering an excellent takeout experience every time. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, ensure smooth service operations and provide consistent, pleasant, quality service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both with guests and team members.
  • Create long lasting relationships with our guests through ‘neighborhood hospitality’
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both front and back of the house.
  • The ability to learn the menu and guide the guests with their takeout orders. 
  • Pack and organize guest takeout orders. 
  • Prepare and process payments. 
  • Work with thing party platform (Uber Eats)
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous restaurant experience.
  • Proficient in Point of Sales System (Toast Preferred)
  • Ability to maintain a clean working environment.
  • Must pass general information and food and beverage quizzes.
  • ServSafe - Safe Food Handling certification
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
