Coda Di Volpe is seeking an energetic, hospitality focused Host to join our team.
Concept Overview: Southern Italian cuisine coupled with neighborhood charm can be found at Coda di Volpe. The menu focuses on the lesser-explored regions of Southern Italy and consists of seasonally-evolving handmade pasta dishes and house-cured meats. Using a Stefano Ferrara wood-fire oven, Coda di Volpe crafts traditional VPN-certified Neapolitan pizzas served with authentic pizza shears.
Job Summary:
The Host role is pivotal in creating a positive first impression for our guests. The ideal candidate will be pleasant, detail-oriented, and consistently professional, possessing strong hospitality instincts and a genuine drive to exceed guest expectations. Success in this role requires the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, communicate effectively, and contribute to smooth service operations and the delivery of high-quality service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Create and maintain a strong connection to the guests and community.
- Exude warmth and hospitality in all interactions.
- Drive sales and covers through acute management of the reservation system.
- Ensure the overall guest experience meets our service standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both with guests and team members.
- Serve guests as part of a team by always anticipating guest needs.
- Seat guests with grace and utmost hospitality.
- Assist with Restroom Refresh.
- Assist with creating and modifying guest reservations.
- Assist with Takeout orders.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both front and back of the house.
- Ability to learn the menu and comfortably guide the guest.
- Passion to learn and participate in daily food and beverage training.
- Proficiency in Restaurant reservation systems (Resy Preferred).
- Ability to maintain a clean working environment.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- ServSafe - Safe Food Handling certified.
- Night and weekend availability is required.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
