Coda Di Volpe is seeking an energetic, hospitality focused Bartender to join our team.
Concept Overview: Southern Italian cuisine coupled with neighborhood charm can be found at Coda di Volpe. The menu focuses on the lesser-explored regions of Southern Italy and consists of seasonally-evolving handmade pasta dishes and house-cured meats. Using a Stefano Ferrara wood-fire oven, Coda di Volpe crafts traditional VPN-certified Neapolitan pizzas served with authentic pizza shears.
Bartender Job Summary:
As the main point of contact for guests at the bar, you will play a key role in providing exceptional hospitality while serving exceptionally crafted beverages. This includes using your knowledge of our food and beverage offerings to effectively sell and serve, suggesting pairings, and being familiar with local beverage options. We are looking for someone who is pleasant, skilled in beverage creation, and professional, with strong communication and teamwork skills to ensure efficient service and a positive guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests and ensure they receive responsive, professional, and courteous service at all times.
- Interact with guests in a meaningful manner.
- Effectively relay guest expectations to support staff.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages as ordered.
- Properly execute the setup and breakdown of bar areas and service stations.
- Ensure that fruit and other garnishes are prepared prior to the opening of the bar.
- Maintain the bar area and keep it in a clean and organized condition.
- Verify that the bar adheres to legal age requirements for serving alcohol.
- Participate in Pre-Shift meetings and familiarize oneself with new menu items.
- Perform all assigned side work relevant to the designated station.
- Adhere to all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations pertaining to health, safety, and labor requirements for restaurant employees and guests.
- Fulfill other related duties as assigned.
Required Work Skills and Qualifications:
- Thorough knowledge of fine dining beverage programs.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with a strong dedication to guest satisfaction.
- Capacity to maintain composure during periods of high volume service.
- Exceptional verbal communication abilities.
- Superior time management proficiencies.
- Advanced organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong mathematical aptitude.
- Competence in using Point of Sale systems (Toast Preferred).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of two years of prior restaurant bartending experience required.
- Successful completion of the restaurant's training curriculum.
- Must hold a valid BASSET and ServeSafe Food Handlers Certification.
