We are a Japanese Yakiniku restaurant specializing in premium A5 Kuroge Wagyu, prepared in the authentic Japanese tradition. With established locations in Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, we are now bringing this experience to New York. Role Overview
We are seeking refined service professionals who create warm, memorable guest experiences from start to finish. In Yakiniku dining, servers play a key role by performing tableside and counter‑style grilling of premium Wagyu, guiding guests through proper cooking techniques, and ensuring a seamless, engaging service flow.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Welcome guests with warmth and deliver refined, personalized hospitality
- Guide guests through the menu, highlighting Omakase offerings and specialty cuts
- Provide thoughtful recommendations from the drink menu to enrich the dining experience
- Identify allergies and dietary needs and communicate them seamlessly to management and chefs
- Execute precise tableside and counter‑style grilling of premium Wagyu
- Maintain deep knowledge of Wagyu cuts, grilling techniques, and ideal seasoning
- Clean and maintain roasters with care, including safe grill‑net changes
- Set and reset tables to luxury standards with meticulous attention
- Uphold a pristine dining environment and support an elegant service flow
- Enter orders accurately and coordinate pacing smoothly with the kitchen
- Communicate clearly with FOH and BOH teams and support colleagues as needed
Qualifications
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- 1–2 years of full‑service restaurant experience preferred
- Polished communication and exceptional interpersonal skills
- Composed, efficient, and skilled at multitasking in a fast‑paced environment
- Attention to detail and effective team collaboration
- Familiarity with Japanese cuisine and Yakiniku service is a plus
- Wine and beverage knowledge is a plus
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Comfortable with the physical demands of active table service
