Executive Chef

Experience

• Minimum 4 years at an upscale or fast paced casual restaurant
• Experience with managing a team of 15+
• Must be proactive, organized, hardworking and detail-oriented
• Strong written and computer skills; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and E-mail
• Fluent Spanish speaking preferred
• Experience in Mexican cuisine a plus
• Experience in restaurant openings a plus

About the Job

• Leading the restaurant opening in the food department
• Hiring, training, overseeing and evaluating kitchen staff to provide excellent results, being mindful of budgets
• Execute menu and recipes provided and suggest improvements
• Being able to propose creative plating
• Scheduling BOH staff
• Work closely with the FOH team to make sure the guest experience is great
• Manage inventory and ordering processes to ensure an adequate level of product quality and cost control
• Review sales data periodically to come up with strategies to increase them
• Keep sanitation and cleanliness levels high, following protocol
• Responsible for care and maintenance plan of all equipment in food department
• The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations
• Must be able to work for 10+ hours in special occasions

• Compensation: Salary $100,000
