About Us: Opto is a Mediterranean restaurant bringing a vibrant Mediterranean dining experience to Manhattan. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Line Cook to lead our kitchen and help bring fresh and modern dishes to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:

Kitchen Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure a high level of performance and teamwork.

Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety in compliance with health regulations.

Collaboration: Work closely with the front-of-house team to create a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Innovation: Stay current with culinary trends and incorporate new techniques and ideas to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
Qualifications:
-
Proven experience as a Lead Line Cook or in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant, preferably with Mediterranean cuisine.

Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Exceptional palate and creativity in dish presentation and flavor combinations.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to lift 30+ pounds.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.

Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
-
Certification in NYC Food Protection License required.
