Good To Eat (wearegoodtoeat.com) is located in Emeryville, near West Berkeley and West Oakland. We’re now accepting resumes as we prepare for our upcoming busy season.

Our operating days are Wednesday–Saturday, or Wednesday–Sunday depending on the position.

We’re a critically acclaimed chef-driven team, with press from The New York Times, KQED, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Food & Beverage Magazine—everything from “Best New Chef” to “Best Service.” Join our team of 14! Position open now: Line Cook : start from Grill or Sautee station.

We are now accepting resume and want to find full time team member for our growing business:


[ GTE Back of house team member / line cook job requirement and responsibility: ]
Work hours - WED-SAT. FT 2:30 pm~10:30pm . PT 3:30~10:30pm (extra prep hours during the morning is also available if more hour needed)
1. food prep before the service hours - basic prepping speed required.
2. line cook during the service hours - you MUST be able to jump in immediately for frying or grill or sauté station
3. will perform regular kitchen maintenance tasks including: cleaning and close down kitchen stations after shift, receiving ingredients, inventory receiving and storing....etc
4. This position work with our executive chef or sous chef directly
5. Growth opportunity - we are also hiring a sous chef beginning of late-2026. potentially we will promote someone from the existing team.


[About you:]
1. minimum 2 year of professional kitchen experience.
2. Must be able to pickup Either grill station or sautee station to start with.
3. Your prior experience of chef-driven or fine dining restaurant is preferred.
4. You love to create beautiful dishes and care about presentations.
5. Enjoy occasionally having daily limited special menu items and love this kind of challenges.
6. enjoy work in open kitchen
7. you value food craft, you value cooking food to create good memories for customers, you value work ethic, you value team work, you want to cook in a restaurant where dinning community cares a lot.
8. passionate to learn new stuff especially trendy asian small plates with fermentation and pickling technique and want to grow your career in this industry.

Step2: interview, and stag / trial shift
1. we will interview first, and then schedule paid stag
2. stag always take 3 shifts , it will be paid
3. after stag, will go through 3 month probation. -- we will evaluate further and train you during the 3 months, your performance during the 3 month probation will decide your hours and position after probation.

We are @goodtoeatdumplings -- see our food, culture, and how we operate as a popup. and now, this is our brick'n' motar restaurant -- just opened by May 2022, we already got incredible reviewed by local news, and Oct 2022, we got an amazing recognition by a food critic from the new york time.

We just started our business 2.0 after 4 year popup with lots of amazing community support. Our menu incorporate Taiwanese sensibility with local ingredient. We love using our food to bridge culture and build community.

During the 4 years, we create our own Taiwanese sensibility-inspired recipe, we work with local farms, we have successful menu, we got lots or recognition, and we have a established small team culture who always look out to each other and learn together.

After 4 years we opened our Brick-n-Motar soon in Emeryville, Aiming to have our own home base to serve our customers even better. We are very eager to put what we have doing on culinary map.

Our menu will continue our current menu plus more delicate dishes that we were not able to serve.

We are looking for full time BOH and FOH team members to join us on this journey.
