Job Details

Recently awarded Best Restaurant Bar in America, #34 in the World and #4 in North America, and 2024 James Beard, Jewel of the South is seeking experienced servers to join our small, dynamic front of house team. All applicants should have at least 2 years of experience serving in an upscale casual or fine dining restaurant as well as a strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, and food. Qualified candidates must be passionate about hospitality, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, have excellent communication skills, and be able to continually add to their food, wine, and cocktail knowledge as our menu evolves. Jewel of the South is open Wednesday-Monday for dinner service. Lunch on Friday and Saturday. Minimum 4 shifts per week availability required.

"Jewel of the South is a temple to New Orleans culture and the exquisite cocktail skills of co-founder, Southern cocktail pioneer Chris Hannah. Located in a renovated 1830s Creole cottage, Jewel’s courtyard and wood-framed parlour rooms provide a true oasis within the bustling French Quarter. Throughout the cosy rooms, there are nods to NOLA’s storied history, like vintage musical fliers and portraits of Louisiana luminaries. In the Southern surroundings, you’ll find signature Southern service so good it earned the bar the Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award in 2024.
