About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, service-driven, and inspiring General Manager to lead all aspects of restaurant operations. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team development while upholding Cuerno’s brand standards and culture.

The General Manager will serve as the face of the restaurant—setting the tone for hospitality, leadership, and accountability across all departments.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a high-volume, fine dining environment and understands the importance of balancing hospitality artistry with operational discipline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring seamless service execution.

  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and cost control initiatives.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop management and front-of-house teams.

  • Maintain and elevate service standards to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

  • Collaborate closely with culinary leadership to ensure alignment between kitchen and front-of-house operations.

  • Analyze financial reports, manage budgets, and meet performance targets.

  • Implement and uphold company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.

  • Build strong guest relationships and maintain Cuerno’s reputation within the NYC hospitality scene.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a General Manager or Senior Restaurant Manager in a high-volume, fine dining environment.

  • Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing P&L statements.

  • Fine Dining experience required; Mexican restaurant experience is a plus.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills.

  • Strong understanding of service standards and guest experience excellence.

  • Ability to perform under pressure and make strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of NYC health and safety regulations.

  • Experience with POS systems, scheduling tools, and restaurant management software.

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation Details
