Hudson National Golf Club is one of the premier private golf clubs in New York State. Built by Tom Fazio, our Top 100 course offers an atmosphere of tradition and rustic elegance which is evident throughout. Members and guests are provided with a private refuge from their busy professional lives, and are offered the finest in golf, food and service.
Hudson National Golf Club opened in June of 1996 and quickly forged a national reputation around its traditional design, supreme conditioning, and spectacular Hudson River views. Our golf course has now become one of the "go-to" private golf clubs in the Hudson Valley. Located in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, we are on a peak elevation overlooking the Hudson River, the village provides a tranquil setting between the Croton River and the Hudson River. The local rivers and parks encourage a variety of outdoor activities such as river watersports and hiking. The Village has many parks and waterfront walkways which also offer breathtaking views of the beautiful Hudson River. Home to quaint small businesses, excellent school systems, the Croton Harmon Train Station (on the Hudson Line), and an abundance of natural beauty, Croton-on-Hudson is an ideal host town for our club.
Celebrated architect, Tom Fazio, utilized modern construction methods to deliver a golf course right out of golf’s Golden Era. The layout blends so seamlessly into the landscape that golfers are transported to an earlier time and place. The 260-acre site offers the second highest elevation in all of Westchester County, yet it was extremely difficult terrain over which to route golf holes. Fazio’s team blasted 130,000 cubic yards of rock from a site he termed “previously unworkable.”
Hudson National hosted the 2004 Metropolitan Open, August 23-26, making it the first club ever to host three Metropolitan Golf Association events in its first eight years. Our golf club has also held The Carey Cup (1996) and The Metropolitan Amateur (2001). The Met PGA Championship was contested here in 2000. Hudson National is currently ranked the 14th best course in all of NY State by Golf Digest.
The clubhouse was originally constructed in 1911 as a four story residence belonging to the Larkin family. In the now renovated luxurious 22,500 square-foot Clubhouse, Members and their guests receive extraordinary service levels from the Hudson National Staff. It is a place where individuals, who share a love for the game of golf, can experience friendship and great food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Hudson National has been recognized nationally as one of America’s great new golf courses since it opened in 1996. With the addition of Hudson National’s two guest cottages and Washington’s lookout (7 guest rooms recently constructed on the 4th floor of the clubhouse) the Club has now emerged as one of the Northeast’s finest golf destinations. The Club also offers a fitness center, massage room and a brand new state of the art driving range and teaching facility. Less than an hour from Manhattan, Hudson National’s stay-and-play experience will take youworlds away from the hectic pace of everyday life. The village of Croton-on-Hudson provides a peaceful setting, and our elegantly appointed cottages make for an unforgettable journey, whether you’re getting away with family or friends or entertaining business associates.
Both amateurs and professionals would agree: Hudson National Golf Club is one of the best golf courses in New York State. Members enjoy a fine dining experience in a casual, yet elegant setting. Our cuisine is viewed as Traditional Classic with an American Contemporary influence. In addition to the superb food, our Members enjoy an extensive and exclusive wine list and breath-taking views of the Hudson River on the Terrace making for a spectacular dining experience. We pride ourselves on our service and attention to detail in making the dining experience at Hudson National a memorable one.
