Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee our operations of our new location, Sports & Rec, an elevated sports bar experience from The Garret Group. The General Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining strategies for increasing operational efficiency with direction from the Director of Operations. Success will be measured in efforts to create a productive work environment including but not limited to: coordinating staff development activities from training through day, to day floor management, menu ideation and development, and operational bookkeeping from hours to inventory.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management operations, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This leadership role requires a proactive approach to managing staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and driving the overall success of the establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily FOH and BOH operations with a guest-first mindset
  • Hire, train, and develop high-performing staff; manage scheduling and payroll
  • Monitor service quality and resolve customer issues with professionalism
  • Maintain inventory and manage vendor relationships in collaboration with culinary and beverage teams
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Oversee financial procedures including cash handling, loss prevention, and COGS
  • Collaborate on brand initiatives, marketing, and event coordination
  • Uphold company culture and foster a positive team environment

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in FOH management in a high-volume, high-touch hospitality setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in POS systems, Microsoft Office, and workforce management software
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to lift 30+ lbs and perform duties on foot for extended periods
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field (preferred)
