Job Description - Maitre D’
Summary -
The Maitre D’ is responsible for all day to day operations at the bar. This employee will report to the Director of Operations.
The job description below outlines your general responsibilities. Additional tasks specific to your position and job location will be communicated to you by the Director of Operations. If there is a material change in your job description or responsibilities, you will be notified in writing. In addition to the description below, you are expected to comply with the company's policies as described in the company handbook.
Below is a list that includes, but is not limited to, the key responsibilities that will be expected:
- Complete Opening Checklist
- Lead pre-shift meetings before service detailing the reservations of the night, highlighting the menu choices for each guest, allergies, VIP’s, special requests etc
- Support and assist staff during set up and break down
- Implement service training program for host and service staff
- Create Host SOP’s
- Provide oversight and support at the door
- Coordinate Service - Acting as the liaison between the dining room, Omakase bar, and kitchen to ensure timely, high-quality service.
- Actively touch tables to ensure guest experience is met
- Guide service and redirect as needed
- Ensure accurate use of POS and guest checks
- Reservation Management: Controlling the reservation book, managing table assignments, and optimizing seating flow to balance service.
- Complete closing checklist
- Compare scheduled in times to arrival times and report variance in nightly outlet report
- Complete EOD report
- Operational Duties: Handling guest inquiries, resolving complaints, maintaining FOH organization, and assisting with administrative tasks.
- Supply bar team with banks and make change as needed
In addition to the above responsibilities, you will get specific instruction from the Director of Operations.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $85,000.00)
