If you have a passion for warm hospitality, incredible food, and working with fun and friendly co-workers and guests in a welcoming environment, you are the person we want to join our team. We are looking for professional Prep cooks and Line Cooks ready to follow our Executive Chef’s specifications and guidelines. The successful candidates will employ their culinary skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a full time prep or line cook 
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Communicate with management & staff any needs, changes, & maintenance needs
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with people at all levels across the company
  • Receive direction & constructive criticism well, with a desire to improve and grow

Responsibilities

  • Appear ready for work in uniform, ready at your station ahead of time
  • Help in the preparation and plating of all food menus
  • Produce high quality plates, both design and taste wise
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
  • Assist the Executive Sous Chef in all necessary kitchen preparations 
  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols 
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as required; previous host/hostess experience is advantageous 
  • Able to stand for a minimum of  6 hours or more per shift and stairs, we have them
  • Must be able to at least work weekends, nights and able to lift 30 pounds 
  • 18 & up | 25-40hrs /week |  4-5 shifts  week between 11 am – 10 pm

Compensation / Benefits

  • Pay : $15 / hour plus tips (Roughly $21-23/hour) Pooled tips with all non Management
  • Closed Tuesday, Wednesday and major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s)
  • 50% Discount across all group restaurants (Knead Wine, Tremolo Bar & Hunter’s Head)

Hunter’s Head is a renowned tavern owned and operated by Jarad Slipp, a Master Sommelier and CIA/ICIF trained chef. He brings his lifetime of fine dining experience and wealth of wine knowledge to this new neighborhood casual fine dining establishment.
