Assistant Events Manager

This is a full-time position, nights and week ends in a family owned and operated restaurant located in the heart of Old Town Chicago. We have been serving classic Italian cuisine for over 40 years. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a minimum of 2 years food and beverage industry experience. Position requirements: Strong computer skills; Word, Excel, illustrator, & Email. The ability to maintain guest satisfaction under pressure or deadlines Able to complete and follow through with tasks independently and as a team. Detail-oriented and patient. Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and planning skills. Being punctual, well groomed, and having a good sense of humor. Day to day duties include: Responding to inquiries, taking deposits, event timelines, & coordinating and outlining all event details to staff. Working with guests on the night of their event and executing the event with staff. Experience with tripleseat software a plus, but not required. Health care and Dental available after 90 days. 401K available after 100 work hours and in January of each new year.
