Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: New Museum (Bowery, Manhattan)
Reports To: General Manager
About the Role
The Restaurant Manager leads daily FOH execution—service standards, team performance, and guest experience—while partnering closely with the GM and BOH leadership. This role is hands-on, floor-forward, and deeply focused on building a positive, accountable culture.

- 3–5+ years FOH leadership experience (NYC preferred)
- Strong service standards, floor management, and guest recovery skills
- Training-minded: steps of service, hospitality language, table maintenance, timing
- Comfortable with scheduling, labor targets, and inventory/ordering systems
- Wine knowledge and curiosity to learn more
- Full availability, including nights/weekends
Responsibilities
- Lead daily service: pre-shifts, floor positioning, pacing, reservations flow, comps/voids
- Train and coach FOH team; support performance management and accountability
- Maintain a clean, safe, compliant operation (DOH standards, sanitation, allergen systems)
- Partner with BOH on timing, quality control, and menu updates
- Help manage labor, staffing plans, and day-to-day problem solving
- Monitor guest experience, resolve issues, and build regulars/community
- Support events, museum programming overlaps, and special services as needed
