Rate of Pay: Full Time at $20 per plus tips

Reporting to: Hospitality Manager
This is a multifaceted, challenging role for an experienced hospitality professional who loves coffee, food, and people and wants to be a part of growing a successful business in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Maison Nico is a French-inspired market and café open for coffee and viennoiserie, Parisian-style pastries, sophisticated French pâtés and terrines, wine and more. With its dual specializations in sweet and savory, Maison Nico is able to appeal to a broad audience and has been recognized for its pâté en croûte by publications such as the New York Times and New York Times Magazine. Maison Nico is family owned and operated by Andrea and Nicolas Delaroque who can still be found in the kitchen everyday.
Summary: Maison Nico is seeking a reliable and dedicated front-of-house professional who is passionate about our brand and eager to share their knowledge and expertise. In this role, you will support the leadership team by ensuring the front-of-house operations run smoothly, the team is well-organized, and the store consistently reflects Maison Nico’s brand standards in both appearance and atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide our guests a memorable experience in line with Brand Standards.
- Work closely with others to maintain a neat and tidy workspace.
- Provide excellent coffee service in a timely manner.
- Become a product expert and showing enthusiasm for our niche offerings such as Pâté en Croûte, Viennoiserie, and Pastry.
- Provide a genuine sense of interest in our guests' experience in a high volume work, fast paced work environment.
Applicant Qualifications:
- Hospitality first mindset - Consistently display expertise in Maison Nico hospitality and embody warmth and genuine interest in our guests as well as our team.
- Someone who believes in and values what we do at Maison Nico.
- Strong coffee knowledge, with hands-on experience working with espresso.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
- Two years of coffee or espresso experience preferred, but not required.
- One year of restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
