About the Role
The General Manager at Kayao will oversee daily operations while shaping the culture, performance, and guest journey of the restaurant. This role requires a hands-on leader who understands hospitality at a high level and knows how to build strong teams, hit financial goals, and continuously improve operations.

Responsibilities Include:

• Leading and developing managers and hourly staff

• Overseeing daily operations, service standards, and guest experience

• Managing labor, costs, and performance metrics

• Collaborating with chefs, ownership, and support teams

• Driving accountability, professionalism, and team morale

• Identifying opportunities for growth and operational improvement

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior manager in a high-volume restaurant

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Financial and operational understanding (labor, cost controls, reporting)

• A hospitality-first mindset with attention to detail

• Ability to lead with clarity, consistency, and empathy
