Position Summary
Bartenders are integral to the guest experience, bringing energy, professionalism, and precision to every interaction. Whether crafting cocktails, pouring beers, or recommending wines, you bring both speed and personality behind the bar. You create an environment where guests feel welcomed, well taken care of, and eager to return.
Responsibilities
- Live and promote 4 Star’s core values: Professionalism, Positive Attitude, Guest First, Quality/Excellence, Teamwork, and Integrity
- Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable hospitality to guests at the bar and in the dining room
- Prepare a full range of cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages to recipe specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service
- Accurately input orders into POS and manage tabs with attention to detail
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper glassware handling and cleaning practices
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow all responsible service guidelines
- Collaborate with the service and support team to ensure smooth guest experience
- Assist in restocking, side work, and bar prep as needed
Qualifications
- Bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar setting required
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer styles, and wine service
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a guest-first mindset
- Ability to stay calm, efficient, and organized during busy service periods
- Confident with POS systems and comfortable with basic bar prep tasks
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- BASSET and Food Handler certifications required (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs
- Comfortable working in a loud, fast-paced environment
- Repetitive use of hands and wrists (shaking, pouring, scooping, etc.)
