Highly regarded and very popular Los Angeles restaurant is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join the team! This chef-owned and historically high-volume concept features French Californian Cuisine utilizing only the best and freshest ingredients. It is essential that candidates have strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of high-caliber food & beverage, and be strongly guest oriented with a proven understanding of high-level service standards. This role will specifically be focused on overseeing dinner service, and helping to lead and develop the team in close collaboration with the Restaurant GM. A mix of elevated upscale and fine dining experience is preferred, and candidates must have a warm, hospitality-forward energy and the ability to lead the team by example both on the floor and behind the scenes. Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including but not limited to, staffing, inventory management, and quality control
- Ensure the team is knowledgeable on the menu items
- Assist with hiring, training, motivating and coaching team members
- Perform all aspects of the job with a high level of professionalism and integrity
- Establish and uphold positive work culture
- Provide support for the GM in positive, collaborative manner
- Take initiative and help to build business and repeat customers
- Uphold high standards of guest service and satisfaction, proactively addressing any issues or concerns to ensure a positive dining experience for every guest

- Encourage opportunities for the team to learn and grow
- Continually strive to educate and develop of staff as it relates to food, beverage, and service
- Ensure stellar guest experience in all areas
- Solve any guest issues in a timely and appropriate manner
- Oversee and positively impact all areas of the business including: sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ensure quality and consistency of all products served
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition
- Hold team accountable to high standards while remaining hands on and leading by example
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and deliver prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements
Assistant General Manager Qualifications:
- 2-3+ years' experience as Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) or Senior Restaurant Manager OR 4-5+ years as a Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Dining Room Manager, FOH Manager, Service Manager, Hospitality Manager, or comparable title in a full service, upscale or fine dining, chef-driven establishment
- High volume service/restaurant experience is required
- Chef-driven restaurant experience is highly desired
- A background in Michelin starred or recognized concepts, Forbes, James Beard, etc. is highly preferred
- Passion for high-caliber food, beverage, and high-end guest service
- Strong wine and beverage/craft cocktail knowledge is highly preferred
- Proven knowledge of elevated, high-touch service standards
- Strong leader and motivator to the staff and management

Compensation Package Includes:
