Compensation
- $19/hour while bartending and participating in the tip pool
- $22/hour for bar administrative shifts (not in the tip pool)
Schedule Structure
- 3-4 bartending shifts per week
- 1 administrative day per week
- Full-time availability required, including nights, weekends and holidays
About the Role
¡Salud! is seeking a Bar Lead to support day-to-day bar operations and service. This is a working leadership role for someone who is comfortable leading from behind the bar while also helping with organization, prep and operational follow-through.
The Bar Lead works closely with management to maintain service standards, support the bar team and ensure the bar is prepared for each shift.
Responsibilities
Bartending & Service
- Execute cocktails, wine and beverage service during high-volume shifts
- Set the pace and standard behind the bar during service
- Maintain consistency in preparation, presentation and speed
- Support bartenders and barbacks during service
Leadership & Bar Operations
- Assist with bar prep, organization and weekly planning
- Support ordering, inventory and cost control
- Help maintain bar recipes, SOPs and training materials
- Coordinate with management on staffing needs and service flow
- Ensure cleanliness, compliance and readiness for service
Qualifications
- Strong bartending experience in high-volume, upscale environments
- Solid cocktail knowledge and execution
- Ability to lead and support a bar team
- Mature, organized, detail-oriented and reliable
- Comfortable balancing service shifts with administrative responsibilities
- Full-time availability, including nights, weekends and holidays
