Job Purpose
The Back of House Team Member supports kitchen operations by maintaining sanitation standards, assisting with food handling and preparation, and ensuring the kitchen operates safely and efficiently in accordance with brand and health-department expectations.
Key Responsibilities

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including workstations, storage areas, and dish areas

Assist with food handling, finishing, and preparation as needed

Support dishwashing and general sanitation duties

Follow food-rotation, labeling, and storage procedures
-
Complete sanitation checklists and cleaning tasks as assigned

Support hotel events and service needs when required

Communicate effectively with BOH and FOH team members
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
1–3 years of kitchen or back-of-house experience preferred
-
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
-
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
-
Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry items weighing up to 20+ lbs
-
Ability to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, and moisture
