Now Hiring: Full-Time Assistant House Managers. 

We’re searching for experienced and passionate Assistant House Managers who want to shape the future of Modern Coffee. An Assistant Manager is the embodiment of our Core Values and brand standards. They assist in ensuring the House delivers exceptional guest experiences, supports excellent financial performance, and contributes to operational excellence. By working closely with the House Manager, they help create a vibrant, dynamic, and welcoming environment for both team members and guests.   

Directly Reports into: House Manager (General Manager).

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Support. 

  • Assist in motivating, coaching, and developing the team to maintain a positive and high-performing work environment. 
  • Lead by example, embodying the WatchHouse values of Passion, Empathy, Diligence, and Drive Attitude. 
  • Support training initiatives, ensuring the team is knowledgeable and confident in delivering our Modern Coffee Experience. 

Operational Excellence.

  • Aid in overseeing daily operations to ensure seamless service and exceptional hospitality. 
  • Help manage opening and closing procedures, maintaining a well-stocked and efficient workspace. 
  • Work alongside the House Manager to optimize workflow, increase efficiency, and maintain high standards. 
  • Ensure the café remains clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations. 

Guest Experience. 

  • Support the delivery of a premium guest experience, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our hospitality ethos. 
  • Help resolve customer concerns with professionalism and a solutions-oriented approach. 
  • Uphold WatchHouse’s commitment to quality by maintaining product and service consistency. 

Financial & Commercial Support. 

  • Assist the House Manager with financial performance, KPIs, and cost control. 
  • Support strategies to drive revenue growth while maintaining high service standards. 
  • Aid in managing inventory and ordering processes. 

Compliance & Standards. 

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations. 
  • Support regular audits, inspections, and daily due diligence to maintain high standards. 
  • Aid in maintaining proper documentation and adherence to DHO guidelines. 

Culture & Team Development. 

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented workplace culture. 
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members. 
  • Provide support and mentorship to help team members grow within WatchHouse.
