Job Details

Claudette is a polished French brasserie on lower Fifth Avenue, inspired by the countryside charm of Lourmarin. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and refined approach to French cuisine, Claudette has long been a favorite gathering place for the neighborhood and visitors alike.

After closing in August 2024 to complete essential building repairs, Claudette will reopen in Spring 2026 with renewed energy, a refreshed space, and a continued commitment to warm hospitality and exceptional dining.


The Executive Sous Chef would support our growing Culinary Team in all aspects of the kitchen and would preferably have experience with restaurant openings.  The Executive Sous Chef is responsible for supervising the production of food at all stations, assisting the cooks when needed, as well as supporting the Executive Chef in all aspects of food cost and labor cost control. The Executive Sous Chef should assume command and manage all aspects of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef. He/she should have accurate knife skills, the ability to read and follow recipes, train employees, and maintain health department, food quality, and company standards.

Requirements:
-Open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as requested
-At least 5 years cooking in a high-volume kitchen, with at least 4 of those years in a management or supervisory role
-Experience with Word, Excel spreadsheets, Google Suite (sheets, docs, gmail, etc) and working with POS systems, R365, and other technology is required
-Self-motivated, inspiring, positive attitude and eager for growth
-Spanish speaking a plus!

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary/Hourly ($80,000.00 - $90,000.00)
