Our debut project is a next-generation gay cocktail bar in NYC — a modern take on nightlife that feels polished, inclusive, and built to last.

About

Lymyt Hospitality is developing a new, design-forward gay cocktail bar and we are seeking a Founding GM / Operating Partner to join us pre-opening. This is not an immediate salaried role. The right candidate is currently employed and interested in a part-time, pre-opening advisory role in exchange for meaningful equity ownership, with a full-time, salaried GM role upon opening.

Compensation

• Equity: 2–4% ownership stake, vesting over time based on involvement
• Pre-Opening: No salary; flexible, part-time
• Post-Opening: Full-time salaried GM + equity

• Pre-opening: advise on operations, staffing, service, guest experience
• Post-opening: lead day-to-day operations as GM

Who You Are

• Current AGM or GM at a bar or restaurant
• Interested in ownership and long-term upside
• Entrepreneurial, organized, and excited to build from scratch

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, staff management, team training, and conflict resolution skills
• Experience with inventory control, budget management, and operational efficiency
• Knowledge of mixology, cocktail trends, and bar service standards
• Familiarity with local health and safety regulations and compliance procedures
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a positive, inclusive work environment
• 2+ years of management experience in hospitality or nightlife operations
• Passion for creating community-oriented and customer-centric spaces
