Overview
The Chef de Partie will collaborate closely with the culinary team to prepare and execute dishes at the highest level while supporting the collective standards, rhythm, and culture of the kitchen. This role requires focus, consistency, and respect for process, with an emphasis on precision and teamwork.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute dishes according to established recipes, techniques, and presentation standards with consistency and care.
- Take ownership of an assigned station, including preparation, organization, cleanliness, and service execution.
- Work collaboratively to continually elevate the quality of food, service, and overall guest experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and disciplined workstation before, during, and after service.
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and proper equipment use.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with chefs and teammates throughout prep and service.
- Support teammates and other stations as needed to ensure smooth and cohesive service.
- Participate in daily setup, breakdown, and cleaning procedures.
- Contribute positively to a focused, respectful kitchen culture rooted in shared responsibility.
- Assist with additional kitchen tasks or projects as needed within a fast-paced, high-expectation pop-up environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
We are seeking individuals with experience as a chef de partie or line cook in fine dining or similarly detail-driven restaurant environments, who demonstrate:
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and clear communication.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and execute work efficiently.
- Curiosity, discipline, and a desire to continuously improve.
- Flexibility and adaptability within a demanding service environment.
- A collaborative spirit and respect for the work of others.
Health & Safety
- Solid understanding of professional kitchen standards and expectations.
- Ability to follow recipes, techniques, and quality requirements precisely.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional under pressure.
- Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
- Must have or obtain a California Food Handler’s Certification.
Work Environment
- Involves standing and walking the entire shift
- Involves holding objects with hands
- Involves reaching, bending, and stooping frequently
- Involves lifting, moving, and carrying at least 50 pounds with frequency throughout the shift
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($22.00) plus tips
