Bistro Romano | Bartender, Full Time | 1 year + experience required
Bistro Romano, 120 Lombard Street, Society Hill, is a Philadelphia favorite for 38 years, renowned for upscale regional Italian cuisine, providing excellent service in the Granary Dining Room, Bistro Bar, The 120 Room, our private room on the second floor, and The Wine Shoppe.
We maintain a clean environment, are team-oriented and treat staff well. We are looking for a bartender to join our team, curate exceptional cocktails, and exceed the expectations of our guests. We are open for dinner 4:45P Wednesday-Sunday, last seating is 9P. Earliest shifts begin at 3P and end at 11:30P, approximately.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Opening/Closing of bar and side work tasks
- Ownership of the bar during service at bar seating, bar table seating
- Follow City if Phila Health Department regulations and good practices for service
- Work with MGT regarding inventory and ordering
- Wine knowledge a plus
- Source fresh garnishes, create seasonal cocktails and NA beverages that taste amazing and are visually appealing
- Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to guests
- Menu knowledge, successful testing on same
- Ascertain from guests any dietary restrictions or food allergies and relating same to Chef
- Entering guest orders and required preparation in POS
- Working as a team with other bartenders, servers, and support staff to ensure steps of service are met
- Notifying manager of any delays, guest dissatisfaction, or other potential negative impressions
- Creating memorable experiences to build repeat business
- On occasion greeting and welcoming guests and assisting with phones when hosts are away from hosts stand
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Flexible availability
- Dedicated work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently for 6-8 hours on your feet
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Polite and calm under pressure, work fast and efficiently
- RAMP certification
