About Us

We are a minimalist salt-bread café and the first dedicated salt bread café in New York City, serving high-quality coffee, matcha, and our signature salt bread. Our space is simple, calm, and intentional — centered around one specialty item and a thoughtfully curated drink menu.

Position Summary

We’re seeking an experienced Barista Manager to lead daily café operations and set the standard for service, cleanliness, and team culture. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring presence on the floor, consistency in execution, and ownership of the guest experience.

This position requires a minimum of 3 years of management experience in cafés or bakeries.

Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Operations
  • Prepare and oversee espresso drinks, matcha, teas, and simple beverages

  • Ensure consistent drink quality and presentation

  • Open and manage day-to-day café operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized bar and café environment

Team Leadership
  • Lead, supervise, and support barista staff during service

  • Train, coach, and onboard new team members

  • Create and manage schedules and shift coverage

  • Uphold service standards and address performance issues professionally

Customer Experience
  • Set the tone for calm, warm, and welcoming service

  • Handle customer questions or concerns professionally

  • Maintain the minimalist, low-stress atmosphere of the café

Organization & Inventory
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate restocking

  • Assist with ordering coffee, matcha, and café supplies

  • Keep prep and storage areas clean and efficient

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in a café or hospitality environment

  • Prior barista experience required

  • Availability 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 5 days per week (weekends mandatory)

  • Valid NYC Food Protection Certificate (required)

  • Calm, organized, and dependable leadership style

  • Strong communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a small, focused café environment
