Food Runner

Accredited Chef Laurent Tourondel is bringing his culinary expertise to Philadelphia with his new restaurant concept Terra Grill. 

We are a group of passionate hospitality professionals with a profound sense of ownership and pride in all aspects of restaurant service. We are looking for talented and professional individuals to join our opening team. Experience with previous restaurant openings is preferred, but not required.

Your job is to provide safe and timely execution of the delivery of food items from the kitchen to guest tables. This role is the building block for connection between the back and the front of house for Terra Grill.

Primary Duties:

To properly expedite all guest checks, ensure that the correct food items are delivered to the guest as expected. To be an ambassador for the kitchen and to present the menu with proper food safety and knowledge of how each dish is intended to be displayed.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Deliver and properly describe each dish eloquently and efficiently to all guests
• Provide support to all of the service team
• Possess an understanding of the flow of kitchen, and knowledge of all menu items, their ingredients, and any corresponding allergies associated with the items
• Ensure a sanitary and clean back of house environment, and assist with back of house organization
• Represent oneself as a liaison between the kitchen and the floor
• Assist in stock, set-up, and upkeep of all service related items for the kitchen
