Accredited Chef Laurent Tourondel is bringing his culinary expertise to Philadelphia with his new restaurant concept Terra Grill.
We are a group of passionate hospitality professionals with a profound sense of ownership and pride in all aspects of restaurant service. We are looking for talented and professional service individuals to join our opening team. Experience with previous restaurant openings is preferred, but not required.
Your job is to provide hospitality to every guest. Everything you do within the restaurant is to communicate a safe and welcoming environment, and a professionally curated dining experience. As a bartender, you will be expected to provide service to guests dining and drinking at the bar, as well as assist in servicing the guests dining within the dining room. The bar team at Terra Grill will flawlessly execute the fundamentals of service, and personalize the way in which they complete their tasks to deliver a guest experience that is a combination of hospitality and personality, with the end result of a memorable bar experience.
Primary Duties:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests at the bar and service bar, following standard recipes and the company’s alcoholic beverage policies, while being attentive to guests, and making them feel welcome at all times. Serve food to all guests seated at the bar top and is able to answer all food and beverage related questions.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Create a warm, and enjoyable atmosphere for guests, while being committed to exceeding guest expectations.
- Prepare cocktails and other drinks, while adhering to standardized cocktail recipes
- Serve wine, liquor, beer, and food to bar guests
- Collects payment for all services provided at the bar, following company established accounting and cash handling procedures for all transactions
- Guide guests in selecting food and beverage items from the menu
- Follow company procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests
- Able to effectively card all guests who appear under the age of 30
- Possess proficient knowledge of liquor and preparation of different drinks, and keep updated on new and revised beverage recipes
- Clean, Sanitize, and restock/store all bar items according to sanitation standards
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies
- Place accurate orders and attend to guest needs while delivering a personable and professional service.
