About Us

We’re excited to open our second location of a well-established, successful casual Italian restaurant known for high-quality food, warm hospitality, and a team-driven culture. We will be bringing the same great recipes, standards, and guest experience to a new space. To help lead this next chapter, we’re looking for a Kitchen Manager who thrives in a leadership role and takes pride in running a smooth, organized, and positive kitchen.

Position Summary

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations and leading the back-of-house team. This role works closely with the General Manager to execute established recipes, maintain consistency and quality, manage food and labor costs, and create an environment where both guests and employees have an outstanding experience.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who loves Italian food, values structure and teamwork, and is excited to help open and grow a second location of a proven concept.

Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Operations & Leadership

  • Lead, train, and manage all kitchen staff, including cooks and prep team
  • Set clear expectations and foster a respectful, motivated, and accountable kitchen culture
  • Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation standards

Menu Execution & Consistency

  • Implement and execute established recipes and procedures
  • Ensure consistency with the original location while adapting to the new kitchen layout
  • Collaborate with ownership and management on operational improvements

Ordering & Inventory

  • Handle food ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships
  • Monitor food costs, waste, and usage to meet budget goals
  • Maintain organized storage and inventory systems

Collaboration & Guest Experience

  • Work in tandem with the General Manager to align front- and back-of-house operations
  • Support smooth service flow during peak shifts
  • Contribute to creating an exceptional experience for guests and staff alike

Opening Support

  • Assist with opening-phase setup, systems, and training
  • Help establish strong kitchen routines from day one
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in a kitchen leadership role (Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar)
  • Experience in casual or upscale-casual dining (Italian cuisine a plus)
  • Strong organizational and people-management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety, inventory control, and cost management
  • Calm, solution-oriented leader who leads by example
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $85,000.00)
