Buddakan, the iconic NYC dining institution in the heart of the Meatpacking District, is seeking a passionate and driven Sous Chef to join our dynamic team as we embark on this exciting new chapter with Chef Danny Bowien — the trailblazing force behind Mission Chinese
We're creating a surreal dining experience where the serenity of Asia meets the flamboyance of 16th-century Paris. Ornate chandeliers, gilded details, and otherworldly art set the stage for an immersive culinary journey — soon to include boundary-pushing dishes inspired by Chef Danny’s bold and inventive spirit.
This position offers a comprehensive package including:
- A base salary range of $75,000 - $85,000
- Quarterly bonus program

- Humble in their approach to learning and professional self-development
- Passionate about using Asian ingredients in a unique and exciting way
- Energetic and enthusiastic and possess strong communication and organizational skills
- Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, teach, and coach restaurant employees
- 2+ years of kitchen leadership experience as a sous chef in high-volume and well-rated restaurants
- The ability to support the line during service while managing transition from prep to service
Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $85,000.00)
