Job Details
Tarts de Feybesse is an artisanal bakery located in the new Northlake district in Oakland featuring high quality products such as bread, viennoiseries, and viral pastries. It is run by Monique and Paul Feybesse, both recently nominated by the James Beard Awards for Outstanding Pastry Chef/Baker for 2025 and 2026. 

We are searching for a Front of House Manager to help us refine our systems. You will be overseeing daily service while working with dedicated individuals. Everyone here is passionate about what they do and we want to ensure we find the right individual who is able to lead our front of house team in a professional manner while building systems and keeping customer service high. 

Key Requirements and subject to change/add:

Build schedules and conduct team member evaluations. 

Lead all front-of-house operations across the bakery, wholesale, and inquiries for special events

Conduct high quality service and ensure each guest feels welcomed and cared for.

Train our front of house team with systems in place and not be afraid of building new ones that can ensure our service is on point. 

Manage daily procedures on Square POS, cash handling, tip handling, and opening/closing. Replying back to customer inquiries and handling preorders with our team.

Work efficiently with our back of house team for seamless service. 

2+ years of hospitality or retail management experience. 

Strong knowledge of ingredients, bakery, and food scene in the Bay Area 

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and able to stand on feet for long periods of time

Schedule is mostly set at Wednesdays - Sundays but available for holidays if needed. 

We offer full benefits after 3 months of employment and 401k option after 1 year.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $80,000.00)
