Senior Food & Beverage Manager
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Food & Beverage Manager to lead operations at Sloane’s, our discreetly located, upscale cocktail bar. Sloane’s is known for impeccable service, a curated and thoughtful beverage program, and elevated small plates.
This role requires a strong leader with deep expertise in cocktail and beverage operations, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for delivering elevated guest experiences. The Senior Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for the overall success of the venue, including guest satisfaction, team leadership, financial performance, operational excellence, and brand integrity. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the unique identity and high standards of Sloane’s while driving consistency and growth.
Schedule & Availability Requirements
This position is primarily focused on PM and late-night operations and requires a consistent presence during peak evening service.

Schedule aligns with bar operating hours, peak service periods, and special events

Expected to regularly work through close, overseeing end-of-night operations including cash handling, closing procedures, and staff check-out

Key Responsibilities Operations Management

Oversee daily operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and efficient, high-quality service

Maintain a strong floor presence, engaging with guests and supporting staff during peak service

Develop, implement, and enforce service standards, training programs, and standard operating procedures

Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including NYC Department of Health (DOH) requirements

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Department of Health compliance standards and ensure ongoing adherence

Monitor inventory, ordering, and supply chain to support operational efficiency and cost control

Cross-train across outlets to ensure operational consistency and flexibility
Team Leadership & Development

Hire, train, coach, and mentor front-of-house staff, including bartenders, servers, and support teams

Hold team members accountable to established performance expectations and service standards

Manage scheduling, payroll, and HR compliance in partnership with the HR department

Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing training initiatives

Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture

Lead by example, inspiring professionalism, accountability, and excellence
Financial Management

Drive financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue

Analyze sales data, labor metrics, and guest feedback to optimize service delivery and profitability

Prepare and review financial reports and contribute to forecasting and budgeting efforts

Implement cost-control measures while maintaining service quality and brand standards
Guest Relations & Brand Development

Proactively address guest feedback and resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner

Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Beverage Director on menu development, programming, and promotions

Curate and build a loyal following for Sloane’s through exceptional guest experiences and community engagement

Support marketing and brand initiatives, including events, partnerships, and social media efforts

Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and business partners

Represent Sloane’s at industry events and networking opportunities

Perform additional duties as assigned by senior leadership
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of management experience in upscale bars, lounges, or fine-dining establishments

Proven leadership abilities with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Extensive knowledge of craft cocktails, wine, and premium spirits
-
Strong understanding of NYC Department of Health regulations and compliance standards

Passion for hospitality and delivering elevated guest experiences

Ability to lead, motivate, and develop diverse teams

Fluent in English (read, write, and speak); bilingual or multilingual preferred

Experience with TOAST POS systems and restaurant management software preferred
