Lao Peng You is a family owned Chinese restaurant in Ukrainian Village that specializes in noodles and dumplings, and we’re looking for a strong line cook to join our kitchen team.
We’re looking for someone who can thrive in a high volume restaurant. Someone with positive energy that has the stamina to a work in a hot kitchen for 10-12 hour shifts, four days a week,. Candidate must be confident in their versatility within a kitchen environment, comfortable with leading and following, receptive, have good awareness of their soundings , be strong in their observation and communication skills, and have a compulsion to address and/or correct problems. At least 3 years of professional kitchen experience is required.

What we’re looking for:
- 3+ year of line cook experience and some prep experience as well
- Passion and an understanding for hospitality and honest communication
- Enjoys cooking off the line
- Positive attitude and strong multitasking skills
- Interest and/or experience in Chinese cuisine
- Eagerness to grow, learn and share
- High standards in food quality, consistency, and cleanliness
- Bilingual a plus

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($15.00 - $18.00) plus tips
