Server

Server is responsible for every aspect of restaurant experience influencing customer satisfaction and return visits. Server reports to the FOH Management Team.  

Daily expectations include but not limited to: 

• Memorize the food and beverage menus and allergy chart 

• Prepare the tables with special attention to sanitation and order, including setting the tables, rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and preparing the restaurant for special events  

• Greet customers, and maintain a friendly demeanor throughout their experiences 

• Understand and communicate what’s on the menus, answering questions customers might have, and make recommendations for the best experience 

• Upsell food and beverage in an elegant way 

• Accurately take food and beverage orders, correctly using the ordering system 

• Take special note of food allergies or preferences, and communicate clearly to the kitchen 

• Collaborate with other service, bar and kitchen staff  

• Accurately deliver food and beverage to the customers 

• Periodically check in with the customers to ensure highest level of guest satisfaction 

• Respond quickly to customer feedback or complaints, and get management involved, if necessary 

• Assist with tidying of tables, clearing/packing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant 

• Issue bills and collect payment from customer accurately and honestly 

• Take guest notes on the chit and input notes into the reservation system at the end of shift 

• Participate in daily cleaning of dining room and serving stations 

• Keep serving stations stocked and clean 

• Polish cutlery and glassware before and after service  

• Know and follow applicable food safety regulations and best practices
