118 North is seeking a part-time Line Cook, with room to grow at 118 North and beyond as we operate a number of venues in the area. We have live music performances 5 nights per week and need a reliable cook to work alongside Chef in the kitchen each night, serving up a small, creative menu. We are a team of hard-working, highly motivated, detail-oriented, thoughtful creatives who work together to provide our guests with top notch food & beverage experiences.
Responsibilities include:
- Working on the line, at 118 North. Role is part-time with more hours if the candidate is the right fit.
- Responsible for management of kitchen activities including opening and closing the kitchen, food preparation, working service, and some dish work.
- Being efficient, cost-effective, and managing food waste and scraps. We like to use everything!
- Keep cooking equipment well maintained including fryers (changing oil) and maintaining flat top.
- Ensure high quality food is produced.
- Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation in conjunction with the specifications provided
- Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards are met
- Maintain personal hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
- Receive deliveries and ensure accurate food storage
