About Us
At Passerine, we are excited to bring a high-level Indian dining experience to NYC.  We are dedicated to delivering exceptional food and service, inspired by the Michelin-starred vision of our talented Executive Chef C, who earned accolades  last year. Our goal is to create a memorable dining experience that reflects the rich flavors and traditions of Indian cuisine while aiming for a Michelin star in our new home.

Position Overview
We are seeking a warm and welcoming full time host to join our dynamic team. We are looking for someone with open availability.  As a host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. You will work closely with our General Manager, to ensure a smooth and efficient front-of-house operation. If you have a passion for hospitality and a love for creating memorable experiences, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently.
  • Provide information about the menu and restaurant, enhancing guests' understanding of our Indian-inspired cuisine.
  • Assist in seating guests, ensuring a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with the service team to ensure smooth transitions and timely table turnover.
  • Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and special requests with professionalism and care.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
  • Uphold the restaurant's high standards of service and contribute to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a host or in a similar role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and composed.
  • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
