Happy Monkey by Jean-Georges | Greenwich, CT

Happy Monkey by Jean-Georges is seeking an accomplished Executive Sous Chef to join our leadership team. This is a hands-on role for a driven culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality, organization, and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in all day-to-day kitchen operations

  • Lead, train, and mentor the culinary team with consistency and professionalism

  • Uphold Jean-Georges culinary standards, DOH compliance, and food safety protocols

  • Oversee prep, service execution and inventory management

  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient workspaces at all times

  • Collaborate on menu specials, and seasonal initiatives

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of senior sous or executive sous experience in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to execute under pressure while leading by example

  • Experience with DOH standards, food costing, and kitchen systems

  • Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($80,000.00 - $95,000.00)
