A New York City restaurant group is in search of a Restaurant Manager!

The Restaurant Manager plays a key role in supporting senior management with the day-to-day operations of our full-service dining establishment. This position is responsible for overseeing the front-of-house team and ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service standards across all guest touchpoints
  • Conduct regular inspections of dining areas and storage spaces to maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure activities are executed efficiently and effectively
  • Monitor and manage front-of-house supply needs, coordinate ordering processes, and receive shipments
  • Document, investigate, and resolve guest concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Escalate complex issues to senior leadership as appropriate
  • Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Execute special events, private dining experiences, and promotional activities
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the overall success of the operation

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in a leadership or management role within a front-of-house restaurant environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of service procedures, guest relations, and dining room operations
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff, guests, and vendors
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience motivating and developing teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software
  • Experience with high volume dining establishments
  • Knowledge of wine service and beverage programs

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, regularly including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work on-site with consistent presence during service periods
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to remain mobile and active for shifts lasting up to 8 hours or more, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, and climbing stairs
  • Stamina to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
