Job Title: Dishwasher/Porter

Compensation & Perks:  $15/hr + tips, PTO, Meal Stipend, 30 Minute Breaks

Location: Cleo Bagels at 5013 Baltimore Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19143.

Position Type: Part Time; 27-31 hours a week (with option for Full Time where candidate would work a 4th shift doing general prep/support and/or cleaning in the restaurant depending on experience and availabilty).

Job Summary:

Join our team at Cleo Bagels as a Dishwasher/Porter, where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness of our kitchen and assisting with day to day porter activities including some light prep. We're seeking an energetic and reliable individual with stamina, stick-to-itiveness, a strong attention to detail, and relevant experience.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Dishwashing: Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized promptly and thoroughly; dried before putting away. We provide gloves and a waterproof apron. 
• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintain a clean and organized back-of-house area, including work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas.
• Cleaning Schedule: Adhere to weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc. detailed cleaning schedule.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to support a smooth and efficient operation. This includes arriving on time, communicating well and being able to respond to the needs of the business quickly and collaboratively.
• Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Preparation: Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, portioning ingredients, dough processing, and more
• Other Duties as Assigned: Pitch in with other kitchen tasks as needed.
• Closing: Thoroughly sweeping, vacuuming, spot cleaning, and mopping the shop at the end of each shift. 

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar back-of-house role is preferred.
• Good time management. An ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Occasional weekend availability to cover if our other dishwasher is out.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items as needed.
