GARAGE SALE BAR - BARTENDER


Schedule:  Part-Time Hourly

Pay: $5 plus tips

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Garage Sale Vintage Bartender is a high-volume, guest-focused team member who delivers excellent food and beverage service while representing our unique retail-hospitality concept. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage drink execution, recipe prep, and bar operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and act as an ambassador for the Garage Sale Vintage brand.
  • Prepare and serve all food and beverages according to training and company standards.
  • Complete ALL recipe prep and batching, including garnishes, syrups, and bar mise en place.
  • Maintain full knowledge of the food and beverage menu and confidently upsell cocktails and add-ons.
  • Monitor bar inventory, maintain stock levels, and communicate ordering needs to bar leadership.
  • Ensure all guests are properly greeted, checked for ID, and cared for throughout their visit.
  • Operate POS systems and process transactions for bar and retail guests as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized bar and assist with overall store cleanliness, including restrooms and outdoor areas.
  • Complete opening, side work, and closing duties, including setup and breakdown of outdoor seating.
  • Check in with bar management before leaving to confirm prep, batching, and side work are complete.
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Current, valid TABC certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume, professional bar environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to following all safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
