Bar & Beverage Manager
Full-Service Restaurant | New York City
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bar & Beverage Manager to lead and evolve the beverage program at The Golden Swan, a charming and intimate, full-service restaurant in the West Village helmed by Chef Doug Brixton.
We are looking for thoughtful and detailed orientated manager with strong, empathetic leadership skills, a creative point of view, and a fully hands-on approach to service and management.
About the Role
The Bar & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the beverage program, including cocktail development, bar operations, staff leadership, inventory management, and service standards.
This position works closely with our Executive Chef, his culinary team, and the FOH management team to ensure a cohesive and elevated guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day bar operations across service periods including brunch and dinner, seven days a week.
- Develop, maintain, and execute a thoughtful cocktail and beverage program
- Train, mentor, and supervise bartenders and bar support staff
- Ensure all bar prep, batching, labeling, dating, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld
- Oversee inventory, ordering, cost controls, and vendor relationships
- Collaborate with culinary leadership to align beverage offerings with menu direction and seasonality
- Maintain compliance with DOH’s health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
- Support service on the floor as needed and act as a visible leader during service
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of bar management experience in a full-service or upscale casual restaurant
- Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with hands-on service leadership
- A collaborative, detail-oriented, and accountable management style
- NYC Food Handler’s License
- Full open availability required, Monday through Sunday
- Willingness and ability to work an average of 45–50 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, late nights, and holidays as needed
- The ability to lift +50 lbs

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $80,000.00)
